Shepherd's Heart Church Service
(You can contact William Low at 254-230-9173; rw.thebroken@gmail.com with any questions.)

Step 1 - Find a Date

Sign up for a service time.*
  1. One to Two community groups or Ministry Teams will need to sign up to help for each event (preferably two to allow for fellowship afterword)
  2. Use this link to sign up for a service time: Church Service Roles (look for the community group role)
  3. After the other community groups have signed up for your date. Get a hold of the other community group that you are working with and decide how to work together to see that the tasks below occur.

Step 2 - Planning for the Event
(The rest of this the two community groups will work on together)
Preparation for service (Here is a link if you want to use it that allows you to have people sign up for these tasks: Church Service Preparation – Community group members can go to this link to sign up for tasks. Community group leaders can go to this calendar and check to see who has signed up)
    1. Assign Jobs
                                                               i.      Set up for the service
1.       Setting up chairs
2.       Setting up sound stage
ii.      Everyone should be welcoming people
iii.      Preparing for community fellowship and dinner afterword
    1. Snacks/Desert/Drinks/Goodie packs – this is optional but if you want to bring something for the kids or snacks for a social time afterword you are welcome to do that.
    2. Be creative - if there is something you want to do, let us know. We will most likely say, "Yes". :)
    3. If you are planning a community fellowship time, plan for this as well.
  Step 3 - The Event
Day of the church service
(Here is a link if you want to use it that allow you to have people within your community group sign up for these tasks: Day of Service jobs - Community group members can go to this link to sign up for tasks. And then community group leaders can go to this calendar and check to see who has signed up) You don't have to use this calendar, but it is a tool for you if you want it.

1. Rides (this is not required, but is needed, and would provide a great ministry opportunity)
1. We will probably be getting a few calls for people who have no transportation, but would like to come to the service. We will need people prepared to give rides, if this does occur.
2.  Set up for service* (at least 2 people, but better if more)
a. chairs (50-100chairs)
i. chairs located at Shepherd’s Heart
b. Sound and stage set up (this is optional and should be done by the worship team - but you can help them if they need it)
i. Talk with whoever is doing worship and sound on this
ii.Community group arrives early to pray for service and to greet people
3. After the service
a. Take the time to talk with people
b. Tear-down after service* (at least 2 people, but better if more)
Chairs will stay at Shepherd’s Heart

Step 4 - Fellowship Time
(This is a time for both community groups to get to know one another)

Community Group Fellowship time after the service
After the service participants can meet together for dinner and for a time of fellowship. This you can do however you want. So it is up to you how you plan this time. Be creative and have fun :)

The plan is to have two community groups/ministry teams working together to complete this. This will enable different community groups to get to know each other through both a service time and a fellowship time. Each time you sign up for a service try to work with different community groups, so you are getting to know new people.
